Venue and Seating Information
Madison Square Garden is a multi-level indoor arena directly above Penn Station, with convenient access to trains and the subway. Its circular bowl layout includes Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level seating, offering different perspectives on the court.
For Knicks basketball, center 100 Level sideline sections are a strong choice for clear, close views of the action. The 200 Level offers an elevated tactical perspective that helps fans follow plays as they develop. The 300 Level is farther from the court but provides a full-arena overview and can be a more budget-conscious option; high corner seats are less suitable for viewers who prioritize close-up detail.
Parking Information
Parking around Madison Square Garden is limited, and event demand can increase garage prices. Public transportation is a practical alternative: the arena's location above Penn Station makes rail and subway access especially convenient.
Nearby commercial garages are available around Penn Station and 8th Avenue, while garages farther away may offer lower rates at the cost of a longer walk. Avoid relying on last-minute parking near the arena, where garages can fill quickly and prices may rise.
- Nearby commercial garages: Typically around $30–$80 for events; prices may be higher on busy sports nights.
- Garages toward Herald Square or Chelsea: Often around $20–$50, with an estimated 10–15-minute walk.
- Street parking: Limited and subject to strict restrictions; it is not a reliable event-day plan.
